Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarei has explained that there is “no chance” Ruben Loftus-Cheek will leave on loan in January and has seen improvement in his game recently, which should act as a major reassurance for him that he’s on the right path.
The 22-year-old midfielder looks set to stay at Stamford Bridge for the entire season and supporters will be delighted the homegrown talent is progressing with the senior squad.

He’s now scored five goals in just nine first-team appearances this campaign, but has particularly impressed Sarri in the last two games against Fulham and PAOK.
“I want him (Loftus-Cheek) to stay with me, to stay with us, and so I think there is no chance [of a January loan exit],” Sarri said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
“He had some problems to understand very well what I want but now he is improving and in the last two matches I was really very happy with him.”

Loftus-Cheek has to completely buy into Sarri’s philosophy and system to nail down a spot in the side, but it appears like he is slowly winning him around.
The England international is beginning to earn more opportunities and will hope to be involved on Wednesday night away to Wolves in the Premier League.

He should certainly take great confidence from Sarri’s latest quotes, as in the past he’s often been critical about how much he’s got to learn in terms of discipline.
Loftus-Cheek is going to be one hell of a player if he breaks into Chelsea’s XI on a permanent basis and that is exactly what all supporters are desperate to see.
