Chelsea face Portuguese opposition Porto on Wednesday night in a Champions League showdown – and some Blues fans on Twitter have claimed they want to see Callum Hudson-Odoi recalled to the starting XI.
The Blues will compete with Porto in the away leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie tomorrow, albeit both legs are being played at a neutral venue.
Thomas Tuchel’s side go into the contest after knocking Atletico Madrid out in the previous stage of the competition, while impressed to Porto overcome Juventus.
But Chelsea’s confidence will surely be knocked by a crushing weekend result at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel suffered his first defeat in charge of the club with a shattering 5-2 loss at home to Premier League strugglers West Brom.
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media believe the manager should bring Hudson-Odoi back into the team.
The 20-year-old speedster was an unused substitute against West Brom, but has had regular minutes so far under the German boss, and has enjoyed some really impressive individual moments.
He’s a £120,000-a-week (Spotrac) talent that can play as a forward or right wing-back, so it’ll be interesting to see if Tuchel throws him back in as a reaction to the league setback.
