A handful of Chelsea supporters on social media were shaking in their boots after learning Eden Hazard might start for Real Madrid tonight.

According to the Telegraph, the stage is set for Hazard to feature from the off against his former side in the Champions League semi-final this evening.

Stamford Bridge will welcome back their beloved Belgian for the first time since he’s saddening move to Spain in 2019.

Blues fans felt there were some bad omens in the air that Hazard might come back to haunt them.

Here’s how they reacted to the reported team news on Twitter:

Hazard began on the bench during the first-leg bout last week, but arrived just after the hour mark.

With Madrid in need of an away goal, Zinedine Zidane must throw everything at Chelsea if they are to reach the final.

This may involve relying heavily on Hazard, despite the 30-year-old being short of meaningful minutes in the past 12 months.

He played over 70 minutes in the 2-0 La Liga win over Osasuna last weekend for just the third time this season.

But for all his injury problems, deep down, there is still a player with world-class ability that could hurt any team.

Fortunately for Chelsea, they have transformed into a virtually impenetrable fortress under Thomas Tuchel.

Opponents have struggled to score or create chances in wake of the Blues tight defence.

It is the job of Hazard and co. to try and break this stronghold down. If they fail to so, Chelsea will be Champions League finalists again.
