Aside from three players, Frank Lampard will have all his players available for Wednesday’s Champions League group match against Krasnodar — although a few rotations could be on the cards.
Kepa Arrizabalaga, Thiago Silva, and Billy Gilmour are the three players who have been left out from Chelsea’s Champions League squad for tomorrow’s game.
Silva who started in the last two games is obviously the only one who will need a replacement in the starting line-up with Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, and Fikayo Tomori all available.
Unlike Christensen and Tomori, Rudiger has yet to make an appearance for Chelsea this season.
However, he was also the only centre-back who made the bench when they visited Old Trafford last Saturday which makes the starting centre-back pairing very hard to predict — not to mention the possibility that Lampard might also consider resting Kurt Zouma.
In midfield, one of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante could be rested and make way for Mateo Kovacic’s return.
On the right flank, Hakim Ziyech could finally make his first Chelsea start tomorrow which will help him regain his match fitness — with Callum Hudson-Odoi as another potential name if the Morocco international isn’t fit enough to start.
Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham will likely return to the teamsheet in place of German duo Kai Havertz and Timo Werner who certainly could use some rest.
Predicted line-up (4-3-3):
James – Tomori/Christensen – Zouma/Rudiger – Emerson/Chilwell
Kante – Kovacic – Mount
Ziyech/Hudson-Odoi – Abraham – Pulisic
