'Priceless': Some Chelsea fans loved what Mount did after Havertz scored last night

A handful of eagle-eyed Chelsea supporters on social media spotted Mason Mount’s wholesome reaction after Kai Havertz scored yesterday.

Mount was only fit enough to make the bench for Tuesday’s Champions League tie against Lille.

Although he would’ve been desperate to get some minutes ahead of the Carabao Cup final, the midfielder surely enjoyed the action that went on in front of him.

Chelsea cruised past their French guests without really getting out of second gear.

They shocked Lille with a lightening quick start, spearheaded by Havertz.

Havertz having a blast

The German nearly rippled the net twice in the first six minutes, only to open the scoring on the seventh with a controlled header from a Hakim Ziyech corner.

Once the ball sailed past Leo Jardim, the celebrations began.

Not only on the pitch, but in the stands as well.

And not just from supporters, but from those sporting Chelsea shirts sitting in the substitutes section.

In response to Havertz’s opener, Mount leaped off his seat and roared with pure delight, whilst others politely clapped in their chairs.

The boy born into blues just couldn’t hide his emotions, and why should he?

Even when he’s not playing, Chelsea fans will always find a way to push Mount propaganda.

Here’s how they responded to his rejoice on Twitter:

Pulisic expands Mount’s joy

Mount probably put on the same showing of emotions after Christian Pulisic doubled Chelsea’s lead last night.

Pulisic showcased a brilliant performance full of drive and determination, draped by the goal he converted just after the hour mark.

N’Golo Kante’s burst upfield opened up space for the American to flood into on the left.

He collected Kante’s pass and placed his shot past the Lille goalkeeper.

The 23-year-old has now put himself in a great position to start Sunday’s showdown at Wembley, alongside Havertz.

Following the unfortunate injury to Hakim Ziyech, Mount might be joining his fellow young attackers on the weekend.

Score then and his celebrations will be even wilder.
