Christian Pulisic got a lot of love last night after scoring for Chelsea against Real Madrid in the Champions League yesterday.

Thomas Tuchel can thank Pulisic for ending the semi-final first leg clash in Spain with a positive 1-1 score line for his side.

It was the American’s composed first half finished that gave Chelsea an early led, one that was pretty quickly pegged back by Karim Benzema.

But that away goal could be crucial heading into the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge next week.

Pulisic rightly celebrated his most important strike of the season with an Instagram post after the match.

Several of his Chelsea teammates decided to show their appreciation in the comments section.

Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Tammy Abraham all got involved in praising Pulisic’s performance.

The young forward is currently enjoying a mini-purple patch, having struggled for a majority of the campaign.

He has started each of the last five Premier League games and two consecutively in Europe, scoring three times across that run.

There were some major doubts over his Chelsea future last month, as Tuchel repeatedly left him out of his starting XI.

A report from the Daily Mail suggested a heap of European clubs were on red alert had Pulisic decided to depart London.

Fast track to present day and those worries are nothing but a distant memory. The 22-year-old is now a crucial cog in Tuchel’s constantly evolving machine.
