Alan Shearer and Virgil van Dijk were amongst many to congratulate Tammy Abraham on his Europa League Conference victory.

The former Chelsea striker added another continental triumph to his collection last night as Roma defeated Feyenoord 1-0 in Albania.

Jose Mourinho’s men held on for nearly an hour following Nicolo Zaniolo’s goal in the first-half.

They fended off Feyenoord to win their maiden UEFA European trophy, and their first of any kind since 2008.

Mourinho made history by winning a European competition with four different sides, having also done so with Porto, Inter Milan and Manchester United.

Abraham gets his hands on the Europa Conference League

Meanwhile, Abraham made it a hattrick of titles away from British shores to complete a wonderful season with the Italian team.

Before joining Roma, he won the UEFA Super Cup as a Chelsea player, a few months after lifting the Champions League as well.

But yesterday’s win will surely taster sweeter than the rest for several reasons.

He didn’t actually feature in either the Champions League or Super Cup final, but played nearly the whole match against Feyenoord.

The 24-year-old was also a major reason behind Roma’s eventual silverware success, scoring nine times in the lead-up to the showpiece event.

His cult-hero status amongst the Roma fans also added to the emotion and adulation at the final whistle, feelings he continued to reverberate long into the evening.

After getting his hands on the gloriously sculptured Conference League prize, Abraham uploaded his latest achievement onto Instagram.

The striker’s notifications must’ve been on fire throughout the night, such was the volume of replies he received.

Shearer and Van Dijk raised a social media toast to the centre-forward.

Antonio Rudiger and Ian Wright responded in an equally enthusiastic fashion.

Rio Ferdinand and John Terry came together this time to share a similarly sweet sentiment.

Former Chelsea players Willian and Fikayo Tomori, along with Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Trevoh Chalobah also sent their love.

Lap it all up, Tammy, you deserve it.
