Ancelotti Contact, Willian Sale, and Kessie Snub

Ancelotti Contact

Roman Abramovich has reportedly contacted Carlo Ancelotti over a return to Stamford Bridge. Antonio Conte’s future at Chelsea has been widely discussed, and recent reports suggest that Ancelotti would be the owner’s first choice should Conte depart. Ancelotti managed Chelsea from 2009 to 2011, and won the Premier League and FA Cup in his first season in West London. After a troublesome second season at the club, he was sacked. Chelsea will face competition for the manager, with the Italian FA reportedly interested in appointing the 58-year-old as their new manager.

Willian Sale

Chelsea are willing to sell Willian in the January transfer window, in order to fund a move for PSG forward Lucas Moura, according to reports. The Brazilian could be sold by Chelsea to the Chinese Super League to free up funds to sign fellow-Brazilian Lucas. Willian has been in and out of the Chelsea side this season, and is suggested to be one of the players that Conte would be willing to sell. The Blues believe they could sell Willian for a higher price than they could sign Lucas for, with a number of Chinese sides reportedly interested. Chelsea have sold a few players to China in recent seasons, with the likes of Ramires, Oscar, and John Obi Mikel moving to Asia.

Kessie Snub

Franck Kessie’s agent has revealed the reason behind his move to AC Milan, and rejection of Chelsea in the summer. The 20-year-old was linked with a move to the Blues in the summer, but opted for a move to Milan instead. Chelsea were one of many clubs interested in the midfielder.

“Big clubs always want to sign top talents and there wasn’t only Napoli on him. He evaluated many different offers and projects before making his final decision.

“He chose Milan since it was the start of a new and exciting project. They had been following him for some time and they moved quickly to get him.”
