Ben Chilwell posted a message on social media shortly after his move to Chelsea was confirmed on Wednesday, which promoted a response from both John Terry and Declan Rice.
The 23-year-old defender joined the Blues yesterday on a five-year deal and has made the switch from league rivals Leicester City.
Chilwell has arrived at Stamford Bridge to compete for the left-back position in Frank Lampard’s side and most are expecting him to takeover as the first-choice option in the full-back area.
He has already earned 11 senior international caps for England after becoming the first-choice option for Gareth Southgate and is someone that has seen his reputation soar in the past couple of years.
The speed machine had the sizeable task of succeeding title-winner Christian Fuchs as the first-choice left-back at Leicester, but did so in emphatic fashion and has been an integral player at the King Power Stadium.
Chilwell posted a message on his Instagram after joining Chelsea and explained that he can’t wait to meet the squad.

Absolutely buzzing to sign for @chelseafc . Really exciting time for the club, with such a good squad! Can’t wait to meet all of the lads and everyone around the building. Special thank you to the manager for the faith he has shown in me. A dream come true. Come on you blues 💙
His post earned a two-word response from Blues club legend John Terry, while West Ham’s Declan Rice was also one of several to reply to the new Chelsea signing on Instagram.
Rice, 21, is a teammate of Chilwell on the international stage with Chilwell, but the midfielder is also reportedly on the radar of Chelsea this summer (Times).
