Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic has confirmed that he is available for the New Year’s Day trip to Brighton in the Premier League.
The USA international was left out of the Blues squad on Sunday for the 2-1 away win at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal.
Chelsea confirmed (official website) that the 21-year-old missed the Arsenal fixture as a “precaution “due to a hamstring concern.
But Pulisic has took to social media to give an injury boost over his own fitness ahead of Brighton.
“100 per cent healthy but thank you guys for the concern,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.
Frank Lampard is preparing to pick his team for a third game within six days, which is why it will be no shock to see some rotations.
Pulisic’s timely return should pleased the Chelsea boss and he could come back into the XI away to Brighton.
The winger is enjoying a decent debut season in English football since joining from Borussia Dortmund and is becoming a favourite with the Stamford Bridge fans already.
He’s played 22 games across all competitions so far this season, scoring six goals and supplying six assists in return.
The American speed machine was left on the bench earlier in the season during the 2-0 win at home to Brighton in the league, but is much more integrated with the squad now and should be fresh to play in the first game of 2020.
