Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has reacted to a comment he received last month from Blues legend John Terry.
Zouma, 26, is a nailed-on starting centre-back this season at Stamford Bridge and has built up a partnership alongside Thiago Silva.
The French powerhouse has scored four goals in the Premier League already this season, with his most recent coming on 5 December in a win against Leeds United.
Ex-Chelsea captain Terry sent a message to Zouma on Instagram after the Leeds result.
Zouma has since been asked about Terry’s message regarding his goalscoring and stated he’s got a long way to break his record of the club’s all-time leading goalscoring.
“Yes I saw that, I’m catching him up, slowly, slowly, but you have to keep doing it!” Zouma said, as quoted by the club’s official website.

Zouma has a decent tally of nine goals in 136 Chelsea games and his contribution in front of goal has been crucial so far this season.
He’s just two goals shy of matching Terry’s record of six goals in a single league season, but realistically he’ll need to become a centre-forward if he wants to overtake his club record of 66 goals in a Chelsea shirt.
Frank Lampard’s side are proving to be one where players from all areas of the pitch are chipping in with goals and so much credit goes down to the hard work done in training on set-pieces.
But it would be great to see one of the forwards become a goal machine with 25-plus goals.
