Reece James and Andreas Christensen, who missed Sunday’s win over Morecambe, are among the Chelsea players who trained on Wednesday ahead of the trip to Fulham.

Frank Lampard previously confirmed that the pair only had minor injuries and could be in contention for Saturday’s match against Fulham.

James’ and Christensen’s returns are certainly a big boost, particularly the former after a three-game absence.

The England international has cemented his spot as Chelsea’s first-choice right-back this season, having made 12 league starts already.

N’Golo Kante also struggled with a minor injury but is going to miss the next game due to suspension.

Tino Anjorin was also still in the first-team bubble.

However it remains to be seen whether the rest of the academy players like Lewis Bate, Henry Lawrence and Jude Soonsup-Bell, who also got invitations, are still with the squad.

The 19-year-old’s chance of making the line-up will likely be very slim, however.

Chelsea trio Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, and Callum Hudson-Odoi seem to have overcome their injury problems.

And they are definitely eyeing the two winger spots as well.
