Chelsea fans impressed by Ethan Ampadu’s Wales performance
Ethan Ampadu started for Wales in the European Championship qualifier against Azerbaijan – and some Chelsea fans were positively discussing his performance on Twitter.
The 19-year-old helped Wales record a 2-0 away win against Azerbaijan, which keeps their hopes alive of automatically qualifying for next summer’s major European competition.

Kieffer Moore and Harry Wilson both scored first-half goals to give the Welsh a straight forward victory.
Ampadu is a highly-rated talent on the books at Stamford Bridge, but is out on loan this season in the Bundesliga with German club RB Leipzig.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
He’s only played three senior games for them so far and all have come from the bench, which is slightly frustrating given his great potential.

But he featured in the two league games prior to the International break and it seems like he may slowly be starting to settle with Leipzig.
His appearance for Wales saw him earn his 12th senior cap for his nation and he’s firmly in the plans of manager Ryan Giggs.
The defensive midfielder was excellent at breaking up play against Azerbaijan and played with a high intensity to his game, something that did see him earn a booking early on.

There are so many rising talents at Stamford Bridge and Ampadu is someone that shouldn’t be forgotten, as he already performs maturely for someone his age.
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media reacted to the Welshman’s display and certainly haven’t forgotten about the loanee.
Here are some Chelsea fans raving about Ampadu:
Wales have played some really nice football so far against Azerbaijan, with Ampadu at the heart of it every time.
The style of football has been a complete contrast to previous qualifiers under Giggs.

Superb 1st half by Ethan Ampadu (even though booked for making no contact with the diving Nazarov) as Wales go into the break 2-0 up in Baku v Azerbaijan #CFCLoanArmy #CFC #Wales #UefaEuroQualifiers

Mind I’m a huge Nagelsfan, but Ampadu is looking like he’s improved by leaps and bounds since just the last break. Sure he was injured before but this is next level #CFC.

If Ampadu can develop into a top holding midfielder (assuming he gets minutes at club level at some point), he might be exactly what we need in midfield. Won’t even have to sign anyone next summer at this rate

He looks like he improved despite the lack of game time, particularly his passing. He’ll grow into his body but he’s already looking more ´adult’. We need backup at DM tbf, but a Championship loan could do wonders for him too.
