Ethan Ampadu helped Sheffield United earn a shock win at Old Trafford on Wednesday night – and some Chelsea fans on Twitter praised the display from the on-loan Blues star after watching him in action.
Ampadu moved to Bramall Lane on a season-long loan at the beginning of the campaign and has been playing for a side rock bottom of the Premier League table.
The versatile 20-year-old has mainly been used in a midfield position, but has dropped into a centre-back role in recent weeks.
He played in midweek during Sheffield United’s 2-1 away win against second-placed Man United.
The Wales international got the upper hand in his individual battle with Mason Greenwood, as well as putting his body on the line and looking a physical presence in the back three.

It’s certainly not been a vintage loan so far, but the youngster is a nailed-on starter for Chris Wilder’s team.
He’s looking far more reliable at centre-half and will be hoping to be part of a Sheffield Untied team that tries to pull off a great escape to avoid relegation.
