Chelsea fans not pleased with Kenedy exiting on loan

Kenedy completed a loan move away from Stamford Bridge on Monday – and some Chelsea fans on Twitter vented their frustration with his exit.

The Blues confirmed (official website) that the attacker has joined La Liga outfit Getafe on a season-long loan and completed a move on the Spanish deadline day.

Kenedy moved to Stamford Bridge back in 2015, but has played just 27 senior games for Chelsea and has departed for another loan spell away from West London.

The Brazilian winger has spent the last 18 months combined out on loan at St James’ Park with Newcastle United and had mixed success.

But the 23-year-old spent the whole of last season back at Newcastle for another spell and flopped massively, as he scored once in 28 games across all competitions and lost his spot in the team.

Kenedy was back with Frank Lampard’s squad this summer and looked decent in spells during pre-season, but hasn’t managed to force his way into the plans at Stamford Bridge.

He’s trying his hand in Spain for the first time during the next year to try rediscover his best form and Getafe are a team that finished fifth in the Spanish top-flight last season.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are convinced that Kenedy’s loan departure may have been a mistake and feel he could have had a role to play.

They are frustrated that the likes of Willian and Pedro have been kept as wide options in the squad, while he’s exited for another loan.

Here are some Chelsea fans responding to Kenedy’s departure:
