Chelsea fans react to Fikayo Tomori’s AC Milan performance
Chelsea-owned Fikayo Tomori was in action on Thursday for loan club AC Milan – and some Blues fans on Twitter were extremely impressed by the youngster’s performance.
Tomori, 22, is an exciting talent from the Chelsea academy that was sent out on loan in January to the San Siro for the rest of the season.
The English centre-back has featured regularly so far since joining Italian giants Milan, and he started in their Europa League showdown with Manchester United on Thursday.
Serie A outfit Milan scored a stoppage time goal to leave Old Trafford with a 1-1 scoreline in the first leg of a Europa League Round of 16 tie.
Tomori completed 90 minutes against Man United yesterday in the heart of his team’s defence.
The centre-half is renowned for his pace and aggressive defending, something he showed to make an incredible recovering tackle at one stage to deny Mason Greenwood.
He’s still a little rash at time and is nowhere near the finished article, but overall it was another encouraging performance that showed he can perform on the European stage.
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media raved about Tomori’s performance last night.
Unfortunately, his loan move includes a £26.6million (Sky Sports) option to buy, which fans are worried Milan will activate.
