Chelsea have been offered a £25 million deal for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek. As reported by the Daily Mail, the Polish striker could make a late move to work under Frank Lampard as opposed to with Jose Mourinho at Tottenham – and some Blues fans are not convinced.

The 24-year-old was a breakout star in Italy last season. He scored an impressive 30 goals in 42 appearances and earned himself a move to AC Milan halfway through the season.

The young striker has struggled to hit the same heights this time around. The former Genoa man has scored just five goals in 19 appearances for the Rossoneri and has lost his starting place in the side. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also returned to the club and is limiting Piatek’s minutes.

A fresh start could be exactly what the misfiring forward needs. Chelsea and Tottenham are both in desperate need of forward reinforcements and will have to become less picky as the window comes closer to its deadline on Friday.

Piatek’s finishing ability is undeniable. When provided with a chance, he is likely to take it. If the Blues can give him the service he needs, the Poland international could be a success at Stamford Bridge.

However, some fans are unconvinced and feel that it could be a similar story to Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentinian joined the club in January last year after struggling in Italy and did not adjust well to English football, scoring just five goals in 18 appearances.
