Chelsea defender Reece James is finally back in training the club have announced.
The Blues confirmed on their official Twitter account that the 19-year-old is “back on the training pitch” and showed the youngster running on the grass.

His absence at the beginning of the season was caused by an ankle injury, but it seems like his return to fitness is just around the corner.
Blues boss Frank Lampard has already stated his intention to promote the academy graduate to the senior squad this campaign and there is a lot of excitement around his potential.
James won Wigan’s player of the season last year during a loan spell in the Championship with them and is expected to be a success with his step up to the Premier League.
The right-back is someone with excellent attacking skills with the way he pushes forward and fits the bill of a modern full-back.

He’s also a great one -on-one defender and his task is not to repeat that in the top-flight.
With Cesar Azpilicueta enduring a difficult individual start to the campaign, James could come in to provide competition in the right-back area when he’s available again.
The England Under-20 international couldn’t ask for a better mentor than the Chelsea captain and it would be great to see another academy star to break into the team under Lampard.
