Chelsea travel to Leicester City on Tuesday night in the Premier League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have urged manager Frank Lampard to recall Kai Havertz to the starting XI.

The Blues travel to the King Power Stadium in midweek for a Premier League fixture.

Chelsea are currently seventh in the league standings following their weekend win over Fulham, while in-form opponents Leicester are sat third.

The two teams played out 1-1 and 2-2 draws in last season’s league meetings, but Lampard’s men did get the edge in an FA cup tie.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s match, a selection of the club’s fans on Twitter have suggested that playmaker Kai Havertz is recalled to the Chelsea XI.

Havertz, who earns £140,000-a-week (Spotrac), has had a rough start to life in English football.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder was an unused substitute in the weekend win over Fulham, which means he’s now been left out of the starting XI for the last five Premier League games in succession.

His goal return for the Blues is decent with five goals and six assists in 22 games across all competitions, but his all-round game has seen him struggle overall.

Here are some Chelsea fans discussing Havertz:
