Chelsea travel to Newcastle United on Saturday in the Premier League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by insisting they want to see attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi start the game.
Hudson-Odoi has returned from the international break after impressing with the England Under-21s side, scoring earlier in the week during a 5-0 win over Albania.
The 20-year-old is a skilful winger with all the tricks in the book and is a massive talent that was made in the Blues academy alongside plenty of other first-team squad members.
He’s not started a league fixture since Crystal Palace at the beginning of October and has struggled for minutes so far this season, but a selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are desperate to see him in action.
Hudson-Odoi, who is nicknamed ‘CHO’ by the club’s fans, has scored two goals in nine appearances during this campaign and has some real tough competition for a starting position.
With Christian Pulisic still sidelined through injury for the Newcastle fixture, he will be hoping that he’s given the chance by manager Frank Lampard to show what he can do.
But in the last game the Blues boss preferred to use Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech as the two wingers, with centre-forward Tammy Abraham deployed through the middle.
