Chelsea host Newcastle United on Monday night in the Premier League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have urged manager Thomas Tuchel to play Tammy Abraham start.
The English centre-forward has started just one of the four Premier League games since Thomas Tuchel took charge as manager.
But the 23-year-old was recalled to the XI for Thursday’s win over Barnsley in the FA Cup.
Abraham scored the only goal of the contest in a 1-0 cup victory against Championship opposition, as he showed great movement in the penalty box to tap in an easy finish.
His work-rate and hold up play was evident throughout, plus defensively he showed his class by winning aerial duels and making a goal-line clearance.
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media claim Abraham should be recalled to the league XI.
Despite being in and out of the team throughout the season, he’s the club’s top scorer with 12 goals in 28 games across all competitions.
He’s not always the most pleasing on the eye, but he’s someone that plays for the badge after coming through the academy and has a knack of getting into great positions.
