Chelsea fans were impressed with latest Mason Mount performance

Chelsea picked up a much-needed victory on Monday night at home to West Ham – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter named Mason Mount as one huge positive from the fixture.

The Blues had lost back-to-back Premier League games going into the West Ham match at Stamford Bridge, but they earned three points with a 3-0 win last night.

Mount was heavily involved in the opening goal, as his corner was powered in by Thiago Silva with a bullet header in the 10th minute.

Despite being asked to defend for sustained periods against West Ham, Frank Lampard’s side were resilient at the back with a clean sheet and made sure of victory late in the second-half when striker Tammy Abraham scored two goals within three minutes.

Chelsea moved up to fifth in the league table as a result, with a trip to the Emirates Stadium next on Boxing Day to face struggling London rivals Arsenal.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media believe that central midfielder Mount was yet again impressive on Monday night.

The 21-year-old England international put a real shift in out of possession to help defend, while in attack he was positive driving forward and has been a real creative threat so far this season.
