Christian Pulisic said Chelsea training sessions are now full of smiles after securing the first win under new manager Thomas Tuchel.
Perhaps it is a little too early to say Chelsea are now fully back to winning ways after one win and one draw under Tuchel.
The performances were convincing, but Tuchel will arguably have his first big challenge on Thursday against Spurs.
The 2-0 victory over Burnley on Sunday was huge for the Chelsea players, though.
Bear in mind, the players’ confidence hit rock bottom after winning just two of their last nine league games prior to facing Burnley.
But now they have begun having fun in training again, according to Pulisic.
“It’s been good so far,” the American told Chelsea’s official website when asked about his reunion with Tuchel.
“We’ve got a new outlook on things, we have had a really good win so it’s been a positive start.
“It’s been some crazy times recently and just to get a win left all the guys in the changing room really excited.
“We have had a lot of fun in training and there are smiles on faces which is good to see.”
The growing confidence would certainly help ahead of the big London derby against Spurs.
Tuchel has also been magnificent with his press conferences and interviews in which he often spoke about his full trust in his current squad.
The manager has reintegrated those who were previously pushed out of the picture under Lampard, while the rest of the squad are still eager to impress.
Some would say it is just a “new manager bounce” — which may have been the case, but Tuchel clearly has the experience to manage a dressing room full of high-profile players as well.
