Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell has sent some encouraging words to his England colleges ahead of their European Championship crunch clash this evening.
Posting on his Instagram, the defender wished his national teammates well before they take on the Czech Republic later today.
Chilwell unfortunately won’t be in attendance at Wembley, as he is currently isolating for six days.
The left-back came into contact with Billy Gilmour after England’s match with Scotland last week, who recently came up positive in a covid test.
Mason Mount was also part of this interaction and will two have to separate from the Three Lions camp until May 28th.
But both of the Blues players continued to show support for their country, doing so across various social media platforms.
Whilst Mount took to Twitter, Chilwell used his Instagram page as a way of cheering on his fellow countrymen.
Of course, it will be a massive blow for all three Stamford Bridge players.
Mount was a likely starter for England against the Czechs, with Chilwell also in contention.
Perhaps the biggest blow is for Gilmour and Scotland.
He was man of the match when the two home nations clashed on Friday, in what was his first senior international start.
Now, Steve Clarke’s side will be without the mini midfielder for their huge game with Croatia at Hampden Park in a few hours.
