Several Chelsea players have had their say about the great performance in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final and Ben Chilwell was clearly impressed by one particular Blues teammate.
It was an impressive collective effort from the Blues that most Chelsea fans would find it difficult to agree on the best player in the game.
The three starting attackers; Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, and Mason Mount are the ones who were directly involved in the winning goal.
But the rest of the team worked as hard to secure the win, particularly in the last 20 minutes.
Chilwell, who did very well himself to keep Ferran Torres mostly quiet in the game, praised Ziyech who once again made the difference on a big occasion.
Bear in mind, Ziyech also scored an important opening goal in the 2-0 second-leg win over Atletico Madrid last month.
“Loves a goal in a big game [heart-eyes emoji],” the defender wrote in response to Ziyech’s Instagram post.
Several other Chelsea players were also present in the comment sections, including Antonio Rudiger, Tammy Abraham and Ross Barkley.
