Chelsea supporters wanted to congratulate Luke Badley Morgan following the announcement he had signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 17-year-old defender has been with the Blues since Under-13 level having previously played grassroots football.
Badley Morgan is now an established member of the Under-18’s side. He has made six appearances this season, scoring twice and assisting another.
This is an impressive return considering he primarily plays at centre back but has been known to fill in at left-back.
Blues followers sent their best wishes via social media to Badley Morgan after revealing he had put pen to paper.
It was another huge step in the right direction for the Cobham density. Just last month fellow academy talent Jude Soonsup-Bell secured his first pro deal a day after his 17th birthday.
This is not the only positive news to come out of their development set-up.
Thomas Tuchel invited four youngsters to train with the first team squad prior to Chelsea’s FA Cup trip to Barnsley.
Tino Anjorin, Lewis Bate, Tino Livramento and Levi Colwill were all called up to be involved in a couple of senior sessions.

Bate and Anjorin even managed to be selected for the matchday squad and traveled to Oakwell last night. The latter was brought on with 20 minutes remaining but Bate remained on the bench.
Now the likes of Badley Morgan and Soonsup-Bell have a target to aspire towards.
