West Ham and England midfielder Declan Rice has sent a message of support to Chelsea’s Mason Mount after the latter’s performance tonight.
The Blues beat Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield in the Premier League, which moved Thomas Tuchel’s team up to fourth in the table as they stake their claim in the race for the Champions League positions.
Mount, 22, was the match-winner for Chelsea with his excellent individual goal in the first half, as he dribbled inside the field and unleashed a low shot on the edge of the box to the bottom corner.
He’s thriving in a more advanced number 10 attacking role right now, where he seems to be creating more and looking a real goal threat.
Rice, who was previously in the Chelsea academy, posted a message on Twitter to best friend Mount after being amazed by his display.
He’s made it clear that Mount continues to prove people wrong, as oddly the Chelsea talent still receives criticism from some neutrals over his ability.

If fans didn’t know already, Mount really is a talisman now for this current Chelsea team and a change of manager hasn’t halted his momentum at Stamford Bridge.
There is every chance he could be playing alongside West Ham’s Rice this summer for England in the European Championships, albeit there is so much competition for Mount’s area of the pitch with the likes of Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and James Maddison also in contention.
Mount just needs to continue doing what he’s doing, as he’s really helping a Chelsea side shoot up the league table.
