‘Even he knows’: Some Chelsea fans love what they’re hearing from Trent Alexander-Arnold
Liverpool defender Trent-Alexander-Arnold has named Eden Hazard as his toughest Premier League opponent to date – and some Chelsea fans are loving his comments.
Alexander-Arnold, 23, has been regarded by many as one of the world’s elite right-backs during the last few years. He’s been a crucial part of the Jurgen Klopp era so far at Anfield.
The England international has highlighted how difficult it was coming up against Real Madrid and ex-Chelsea winger Hazard.
“Hazard. Eden Hazard. The best I’ve probably by a little bit of a distance,” Alexander-Arnold said when asked by Amazon Prime Sport his toughest Premier League opponent.
“Maybe Kevin De Bruyne, but directly against an opponent would have to be Hazard. Speed, agility, his awareness, his intelligence on and off the ball is unreal.”
Chelsea fans love Hazard praise
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media are delighted to hear Hazard praised by a rival player.
Unfortunately, the 30-year-old attacker is enduring a tough time in Madrid. He’s struggling for minutes right now on the pitch and has just five goals in 54 appearances for the Spanish giants.
His memory in the Premier League remains intact, though, especially by opponents like Alexander-Arnold that have come up against him one-on-one.
The Belgium was sensational during seven years at Stamford Bridge and it’s obvious how loved he still is by the Blues fanbase:

Could Belgian magician return?
Obviously, Hazard is enduring a torrid time in the Spanish capital. His spell in La Liga has been a nightmare, which is tough for Chelsea fans to watch.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have been linked with re-signing Hazard, as ESPN claim they’re one of the clubs sounded out by Madrid over a potential transfer.
If he can get back to anywhere near his best, Chelsea fans would surely welcome him back with open arms.
