Chelsea manager Frank Lampard said everyone in the team is excited about their new signings, including Mason Mount.
There was a rumour claiming Mount was unhappy with Kai Havertz’s arrival.
It was quickly denied by the 21-year-old’s father and Lampard has helped explain how the England international has reacted on the training ground.
He told Chelsea’s official website: “The last few days we’ve trained with these new players that everyone is very excited about and focused on at the moment.
“The way Mason has trained since coming back from England shows to me that when I talk about players that will react in a positive way and up their game, Mason is one of them.
“And that’s what I want from all the young lads.”
Mount himself is clearly aware of the competition that comes with new recruitment.
He admitted that there is always that slight worry of losing his place but, as you can see from how he responded, he clearly has the mentality to fight for his spot.

“I think it’s normal,” Mount told Sky Sports when asked about the signings coming in thick and fast.
“When you are at a big club, players are going to come in and you are going to be competing against each other.
“There is always that little bit of feeling that they could be coming in to your position or something like that.
“But as I said, I’m always positive and up for the challenge.”
