Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said he wants to see Timo Werner in a more central area as he and two other Blues icons Gus Poyet and Tore Andre Flo named their picks for Chelsea’s most exciting players.

With so many talents in Chelsea squad at the moment, any Blues fan would arguably struggle to name the most exciting players.

Some would argue that attacking players such as Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic are the most entertaining to watch. While some would say last-ditch tackles from the likes of Kurt Zouma or Thiago Silva keep them on the edge of their seats.

Former Blues Hasselbaink, Poyet and Andre Flo, however had an easy time picking theirs.

“[Timo] Werner,” Hasselbaink told Three when asked to name Chelsea’s most exciting players.

“But I like to see Werner from the middle, not left, right.

“He’s a little bit like me because he doesn’t like to play with the back to the goal.”

Flo responded: “If you have Pulisic next to him, then you have got two guys with a lot of pace.”

Poyet had a different idea.

“For me, I like Thiago Silva [very much],” he added.

“I like him all my life. I want to see..”

“How he’s going to lead,” Hasselbaink helped Poyet complete his sentence.

“Bring them together and go forward.”
