Supporters feared that Tammy Abraham’s time at Chelsea was coming to a close after he was excluded from another matchday squad last night.
It was generally a joyous occasion for the Blues following their 1-0 Premier League conquest over Liverpool at Anfield yesterday.
Mason Mount managed to seal all three points with a well taken goal, that extended Thomas Tuchel to ten games undefeated as Chelsea manager.
The only blotch was that Abraham’s name wasn’t among the substitutes bench, which caused a flurry of panic among Blues fans.
This was the second time in a week that Abraham hadn’t travelled with Chelsea for a league match.
Tuchel omitted from the 0-0 draw with Manchester United last weekend, purely for tactical reasons.
He did confirm in his press conference prior to the Liverpool victor that his £80,000 per-week (Euro Sport) forward had a slight issue with his ankle.

This problem may have been the reason behind Abraham’s sanction away from the side, although it wasn’t confirmed after the game.
Chelsea followers weren’t so convinced and felt something much graver was afoot.
Shortly after the United match, the Telegraph reported that several English and European clubs were interested in Abraham, who is yet to discuss a new contract with Chelsea.

I seriously doubt Tammy will still be at Stamford Bridge come next season.
He wants to be the no.9 for whoever he plays for, which just isn’t happening under Tuchel right now.
I’d much rather see him thrive elsewhere than rot away on the side-lines at Chelsea.
