Chelsea winger Callum Huds0n-Odoi believes the club are signing top players, including Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, for long-term success.
After the summer transfer ban and inactive January transfer window, the Blues have moved really quick this summer.
Ziyech’s transfer from Ajax was announced back in February while they brought in one of the hottest goalscorers in Europe in Werner as soon as he finished the Bundesliga season with RB Leipzig back in June.
And it’s safe to say they are not done yet.

They are reportedly close to signing another Bundesliga talent, Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz (Sky Sports) and they have also been linked with several potential defensive recruitments, as previously hinted by Lampard himself.
Hudson-Odoi seems excited about the club’s transfer activities, Ziyech and Werner who have been training with new Chelsea teammates in particular.

The teenager told ESPN: “Players that are coming in are top players and they’ve done really well at their previous clubs so hopefully, they can do that here as well.
“It doesn’t really matter if you’ve been bought or you’re at the club already or whatever it is.
“You’ve always got to fight for your position and show the manager, your teammates, the fans why you should be playing every game, keep improving every day.
“We’re obviously trying to build a good team for the future, not just for now.”

Both Ziyech and Werner had impressive seasons at Ajax and Leipzig, respectively.
The former bagged 10 goals and 16 assists despite the early end of Eredivisie due to pandemic, while the Germany international had an outstanding record of 34 goals and 10 assists across all competitions.
