Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that he has again been left very impressed with the performance of some of the younger members of Chelsea’s squad.
He told the official club website that their strong performances have contributed to him being extremely pleased with his first few weeks in charge of the club.
Pochettino has not hesitated to hand out key minutes to players who have very rarely been given opportunities to impress before.

The Argentine started Cesare Casadei alongside Enzo Fernandez in midfield last night, while Bashir Humphreys deputised for Levi Colwill on the left of the back four.
A youthful Blues side was captained by Reece James, however this did not seem to have too much of an effect on their display against Eddie Howe’s side.
Pochettino impressed by youngsters
They left Atlanta with a 1-1 draw against the side who have strengthened from the one who qualified for the Champions League last season.
One younger star who has impressed the boss is Ian Maatsen, with him claiming that the Dutchman is part of his plans for next season. He started last night on the right wing.
Pochettino claimed that the younger players who have featured have been very impressive up to now.

He said: “I think the younger players are performing well also. So I am so happy with everything so far.”
It will be interesting to see which younger players will remain at Stamford Bridge when the Premier League season gets underway in less than three weeks’ time.
There have been claims that the likes of Casadei could be set for a loan away this season, with recently relegated Leicester City reportedly keen on bringing him in to develop his game.
