Italy for Conte
Antonio Conte is the Italian Football Federation’s first choice to replace Gian Piero Ventura as Italy manager. Conte left the role in 2016, as he wanted a return to club management and took the Chelsea job. Despite that, the President of the federation has hinted Conte would be one of their top choices.
“Massimiliano Allegri, Roberto Mancini, Carlo Ancelotti… I say getting warmer,”
And Conte? Fire.”
Conte’s future in West London has been widely speculated, with many claiming that the Italian is not happy at Stamford Bridge.
Asensio Linked
Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio reportedly could join Chelsea, if the Spanish side do not give him more playing time. Despite making a good start at the Bernabeu this season, the Spaniard has been relegated to the bench and has found regular action hard to come by. Reports in Spain claim Asensio could be tempted for a move to Stamford Bridge if the situation does not change.
Richarlison Rumours
Despite being reportedly rejected by him in the summer, Chelsea could make a fresh approach for Watford attacker Richarlison. The Brazilian has made an impressive start to life in the Premier League after joining the Hornets from Fluminense, and has reportedly caught the eye of a number of other Premier League sides. As well as the Blues, the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal want to sign Richarlison.
English Future
Antonio Conte believes Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham have great futures at the club, and are the future of Chelsea.
“I think we are talking about two really good young players. Ruben and Tammy will be the future for Chelsea.
“Now it’s right for them to play regularly. Ruben said that his path is perfect and to play regularly this season is very important for his development.
“Then he can come back and play for Chelsea with greater maturity.”
