Jordan Henderson's three-word message to £50m Chelsea star on Instagram

Chelsea star Ben Chilwell uploaded a message on Instagram yesterday to provide an update on his injury, which prompted responses from the likes of Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.

Chilwell, 25, is a Blues defender that is currently sidelined through injury.

The £50million left wing-back suffered his knee injury in November and the club recently confirmed he’ll undergo surgery on the issue after seeing a specialist.

He took to social media on Thursday to announce he’s now had a successful operation on his knee and promises to “work like a beast” to get back to full fitness.

Liverpool’s Henderson, who is an England teammate of Chilwell, sent him a three-word message saying “recover well mate”.

Also, the likes of John Terry and Jody Morris responded on Instagram to show their support.

Chilwell leaves massive Chelsea void

Blues manager Thomas Tuchel certainly has a big job on his hands dealing with several injuries at Stamford Bridge, especially in the wing-back areas.

Marcos Alonso can step into Chilwell’s shoes at left wing-back, but it’s impossible to think he can start every match.

Everton’s Lucas Digne has been linked as a January target and Chelsea should push hard to get this deal over the line as quickly as possible.

The likes of Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi are emergency cover at wing-back, but they be allowed to compete for the forward positions at the top end of the pitch.

Tuchel’s earned the right to ask for a bit of support in the January window to boost the squad.
