'Love it': Jody Morris reacts to what Chelsea fans did on Saturday

Chelsea hero Jody Morris has had his say about the Mason Mount banner displayed by the fans at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

A section of Chelsea fans, led by Twitter user cfcuk Fanzine (@onlyapound) prepared the overhead banner to show their appreciation of one of Chelsea academy’s most successful graduates, Mount.

Unfortunately, the 22-year-old himself did not feature against Aston Villa.

Thomas Tuchel decided to rest him after the midfielder was involved three consecutive games for England during the international break.

Mount clearly noticed the banner, though, and shared the moment when the banner was on display on his social media.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

Morris, who played a big part in Mount’s development in the academy and his breakthrough season in the first team, has had his say as well.

“Love it. Well done to all involved,” the former Chelsea midfielder wrote on an Instagram story.

Having been at the club since he was six, it is easy to see why Mount is a fan favourite. The Blues fans also voted him as the club’s player of the year last season.

What really cemented his spot in the club’s history, however, is his assist in the last Champions League final, which eventually secured the club’s second-ever title win in the competition.
