Malang Sarr has posted a message on social media following his completed move to Chelsea and explained he is “grateful” to be moving to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues confirmed (official website) on Thursday afternoon that the 21-year-old has joined the Blues on a five-year deal and he’s set to spend the 2020/21 campaign out on loan, but it’s not confirmed yet where that will be.

Frank Lampard’s side have managed to sign the highly-rated defender on a free transfer, as his contract had expired with French club Nice this summer.

Sarr is someone that played 119 times in Nice’s first-team and he’s also represented France up to their Under-21 age group to show he’s a rising star in their country.

The powerhouse centre-back isn’t deemed ready to come straight into the senior squad at Stamford Bridge, but on paper has all the tools to be a success in the Premier League in the future.

He is a left-footed defender that has quality on the ball that allows him to play out from the back and he’s been used to a possession-based style of football in France with his former club.

Sarr has uploaded a post on his official Instagram account after becoming the latest player to join the Chelsea squad and he’s someone that supporters will be very keen to watch during the next year while he continues to develop out on loan.
