Morata Move
Alvaro Morata is reportedly wanted by French side Paris Saint-Germain. The Spaniard joined Chelsea in the summer for a club record fee, and enjoyed a bright start at Stamford Bridge. However, the Spaniard’s recent form has died down a bit, and he has struggled with injuries in recent weeks. Reports claim that Ligue 1 side PSG are considering making a move for Morata in the summer. Any deal for Morata would have to be substantially more than the £58 million upfront fee Chelsea paid in the summer. However, the French side are no strangers to paying huge fees for players, having broken the transfer record to bring Neymar to the club.
Hart Wanted
Reports suggest that Chelsea’s first choice replacement should Thibaut Courtois leave the club is Joe Hart. The Belgian’s contract with the club expires in the summer of 2019, and a new deal is yet to be signed. Real Madrid are suggested to be interested in Courtois, and could make a move for him in the summer. Should he leave, the Blues could sign Hart as a replacement. The Englishman is currently on loan at West Ham, but has recently lost his spot in the starting eleven to Adrian. Manchester City are keen to offload the goalkeeper, and could sell to Chelsea if a deal is right.
Sarri Eyed
Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri is said to be Chelsea’s number one choice to replace Antonio Conte, should he leave the club in the near future. Conte’s future has been widely debated, and there is the expectation that he will leave the club in the summer, unless he loses his job before that. Should Conte leave the club, Chelsea want to replace him with Napoli’s Sarri. His side currently sit top of Serie A, and he could lead Napoli to their first title in 28 years. Reports claim he has a £7 million release clause in his contract, and Chelsea are willing to meet that.
