Mount pokes fun at Chelsea teammate Havertz over dazzling goal in 2015

Mason Mount teased Chelsea teammate Kai Havertz about his losing the battle between them in a friendly match between England and Germany U17s back in 2015.

The Chelsea pair have clearly shown their potentials since they were very young.

Unsurprisingly, the pair have been representing their respective country throughout age levels, up until now they have become regulars for England and Germany.

Six years before they became teammates at Chelsea, they have already faced each other on the pitch in an international friendly.

Apparently, Mount won that battle and clearly did not miss the opportunity to remind his new midfield partner about it.

“This was [for England U16s] I think (it was actually U17s), [our] first game on TV,” he told England’s official YouTube channel.

“Playing against Germany at Rotherham Stadium, so it was a massive for us.

“I can’t remember the final score but I did score a goal in the game that’s why I remember.

“Actually, Kai Havertz, my teammate at the moment, is actually in the video — not many people know this.

“He is the one that actually grabbed my face, he’s number 18.

“I’ve spoken to him about it at training and we had a good laugh about it — and he actually remembered it as well.

“That was funny. Now he’s going to get exposed, everyone is going to know [laugh].”

The game actually ended with a 2-1 victory for England U-17s, with Mount scoring the opener just six minutes into the first half.

Fellow Chelsea midfielder Trevoh Chalobah, currently on loan at Lorient, also featured in that game.
