Former Chelsea left-back Graeme Le Saux believes Charly Musonda should leave the Blues, and join rivals Tottenham. Le Saux thinks that Chelsea’s recent record of bringing through youth players should persuade the Belgian to move clubs, with Spurs one destination.
“Unfortunately bringing youth through is not the Chelsea model at the moment.
“The one club that does youth a chance is Tottenham. Maybe Musonda needs to move across London for his chance to shine?!”
Tammy Abraham could become Chelsea’s next striking hero if he continues his form while out on loan, according to Swansea captain Leon Britton. Since joining the Welsh side on loan, Abraham has scored four goals in eight Premier League games, and Britton believes he can make it at Stamford Bridge.
“It is difficult at Chelsea. We have seen a lot of players who have left and have had big careers elsewhere but I don’t see why Tammy can’t make it there.
“The top teams always create a lot of chances and Tammy is a very good finisher. If you give him those chances, he will score the goals.
“I don’t see any reason why he can’t go back to Chelsea, break through and have a long career there.”
Marcos Alonso could be set for a return to Spain, if recent reports are to be believed. Reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona are monitoring the Chelsea wing-back, and manager Ernesto Valverde is keen on bringing him to the Nou Camp. The report claims that Barcelona are looking to replace Jordi Alba as the first choice left back in the team, and Alonso is their number one target. Since joining Chelsea last summer, Alonso has made an instant impact at Stamford Bridge. It is believed that it would take a huge fee to convince the Blues into selling the player.
