A section of Chelsea supporters on social media could not help but take a gentle swipe at Tottenham Hotspur following their latest managerial update.
Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday that Spurs had made contact with former Roma coach, Paulo Fonseca, on a possible three-year contract.
Sky Sports said those talks had become advanced, after conversations with ex-Inter Milan and Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, had fallen through.

Ironically, Fonseca was replaced at Roma by the man who had just left Tottenham, Jose Mourinho.
Blues fans felt their capital city rivals were making a very poor choice in their potential appointment.
Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:
Fonseca for the future?
It was always going to be difficult for Spurs to lure a household name to North London, especially in the wake of Mourinho’s underwhelming final season in charge.
At first, they tried Conte and their beloved past manager, Mauricio Pochettino, but neither could be lured back to the Premier League.
Instead, Daniel Levy has seemingly turned to Fonseca, whose reputation was damaged during his last campaign with Roma.
The 48-year-old could only lead the Serie A side to a seventh placed finish, two down from his debut term.

He did guide them to a Europa League semi-final, but was beaten 8-5 on aggregate by Manchester United.
His previous jobs have brought much more success.
At Shakhtar Donetsk, Fonseca won successive doubles, alongside two Portuguese cups with Braga and Porto respectively.
But is he the man to transform Tottenham into title challengers once again?
Chelsea will certainly hope not, as they gear up to battle Manchester City’s domestic dominance.
