Jody Morris made a point of picking out Romelu Lukaku’s physical transformation whilst he underwent Chelsea training earlier today.

Morris posted out a Tweet during the Blues session at Stamford Bridge, commenting on how impressed he was by Lukaku’s current condition.

The Belgian was often criticised for looking too bulky or heavy during his mixed Manchester United career.

Following the striker’s move to Inter Milan, he set upon sorting out his physique.

Inter’s medical staff helped improve Lukaku’s diet, which in turn enhanced the centre-forward’s performances on the pitch.

In two successful seasons with the Italian club, he scored 64 goals, 24 of which propelled Inter to the Serie A title last term.

Lukaku looks a lot slimmer than he did during his United days, but still managing to maintain that raw strength which makes him such a handful for defenders.

Thomas Tuchel will be hoping to utilise the 28-year-old’s brute force on Sunday when Chelsea travel to face Arsenal in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s side would be wise to prepare themselves for the potential updated threat of Lukaku.

No longer is he the seemingly out-of-shape player who arrived at Inter.

Nor is he the skinnier specimen that originally joined the Blues back in 2011.

Arsenal are set to face arguably the fittest and most fierce version of Lukaku yet.
