Palmieri Interest
Reports have claimed that Chelsea are interested in signing Roma full-back Emerson Palmieri. The Brazilian has only played 15 minutes of Serie A football this season, as he recovers from injuries. Palmieri is said to be interested in a move to Stamford Bridge, and that a full-back is Antonio Conte’s priority this month. The Italian side could be willing to sell the left-back, if the Blues meet their £20 million valuation.
Batshuayi Wanted
Michy Batshuayi is wanted by Borussia Dortmund as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Belgian looks set to leave West London this month, with Sevilla reportedly interested in taking him on loan. However, with Aubameyang looking set for a move to Arsenal, the German side are said to be interesting in signing Batshuayi as a replacement. However, with Alvaro Morata’s sending off in Chelsea’s FA Cup third round replay victory over Norwich City, any deal involving Batshuayi could be delayed until after Saturday’s fixture away to Brighton.
Carroll Update
Chelsea continue to be interested in bringing Andy Carroll to Stamford Bridge this month. Reports claim that any potential loan move for the striker will be turned down, and West Ham will only consider a permanent deal. That hasn’t deterred Chelsea, however, as they are willing to sign the 29-year-old permanently, and talks are currently ongoing. The Hammers reportedly want a fee of around £20 million for Carroll.
McGregor Lined Up
Allan McGregor has been reportedly lined up by Chelsea to replace third-choice goalkeeper Eduardo in the summer. Reports claim that the Blues want to bring the Scottish goalkeeper to the club when Eduardo’s contract expires at the end of the season. McGregor is out of contract at Hull in the summer, and is being eyed by the club to provide cover for Thibaut Courtois and Willy Caballero.
