Reece James picked N’Golo Kante as the Chelsea star from another country he would want to represent England at the European Championships.

Speaking in a press conference, James was asked which of his club colleges that are featuring at the Euros he would select to play for the Three Lions.

Chelsea are extremely well represented at the tournament, so the list of names to choose from is pretty healthy.

Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger are all in Germany’s camp; Mateo Kovacic is with Croatia; Cesar Azpilicueta with Spain; Jorginho and Emerson with Italy.

But James went for one of the Stamford Bridge trio that will be flying the French flag this summer.

“N’Golo Kante,” said the defender about his number one choice.

“He’s one player but covers like three players.

“He runs so much and works so hard. He’s such a key player on our team.”

It would be very difficult for any of the teams competing in the competition not to want Kante on their side.

Mason Mount made the midfielder part of his dream five aside team, further indication of how well respected he is amongst his peers.

The 30-year-old is looking to top off an incredible few months, having just earned Champions League glory with Chelsea.

Many have tipped him to be the next Ballon d’or winner, if he can aid France to Euros victory.

If Kante can achieve continental dominance, there won’t be many who will be able to stand in his way for the top individual honour in world football.
