According to reports, Aston Villa are ready to go all out to sign Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud. French outlet Le10sport is claiming that the Premier League strugglers are willing to do everything they can to secure his signature on a permanent basis.
The Villains are currently sat just inside the relegation places and in desperate need of a goalscorer. Wesley has been ruled out for the season and they see Giroud as the man to score the goals that will keep them up this season.

The French international’s time at Stamford Bridge appears to be up. He has started just two games under Frank Lampard this season and is the third choice striker at the club. There have also been several links to other forwards this month. It is clear that Giroud is considered surplus to requirements.
The 33-year-old has been linked with a move to Inter Milan (CalcioMercato), but there has been no progress in that deal of late. Dean Smith is now looking to press ahead with a move and is willing to try everything to get a deal over the line.

Lampard will not be losing sleep over the possibility of losing Giroud. The club will want their valuation met but can certainly afford to lose him in January.
Villa need a striker who will score goals. If Giroud is given the service, he will score goals. Whether it is enough to keep the Villains up is yet to be seen. The move would benefit all parties and could come off before the end of the month.
