Young Chelsea striker Armando Broja will be given the opportunity to impress Thomas Tuchel in the pre-season and could earn a first-team promotion, according to Goal.
The 19-year-old had a fine loan spell at Vitesse, having finished the season as their joint-top scorer with 10 goals in Eredivisie.
He has also done quite well at the international level both for Albania U21s and senior sides. Recently he scored an incredible goal against Andorra U21s and showcased his physical prowess.
Many would argue that Chelsea’s reported pursuit of a new striker might harm Broja’s chances of breaking into the first team.
But according to a report from Goal, the Chelsea academy graduate will be invited to the pre-season and given the opportunity to make a case for his potential inclusion in Tuchel’s squad.
While many would argue that the Eredivisie to the Premier League would be a too big a leap, Broja could prove to be a useful backup striker for Chelsea.
Regardless of whether Chelsea will land a new striker or not, they could still lose both Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham this summer.
AC Milan are reportedly interested in Giroud, while the striker seems to be tempted by the idea of playing regular football in Serie A.
While Abraham has reportedly attracted some interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa.
