Jadon Sancho is the name so many Chelsea fans want to see in a Blues shirt. There are questions on whether the Blues need to sign the youngster, but it would certainly be a statement signing. No one would complain about signing one of the world’s most promising young talents.
However, The Daily Mail is reporting that the Blues are yet to make contact with Dortmund. The winger is said to be feeling ‘humiliated and scapegoated’ by Dortmund after being hauled off after just 36 minutes in the club’s recent 4-0 defeat to rivals Bayern Munich.
Sancho is keen to stay quiet on his preferred next destination and despite interest from almost all of Europe’s elite, the Blues are reportedly yet to make contact. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all interested in the 19-year-old.
The Blues may be waiting for the transfer ban to be cleared before making contact. However, this is a worrying development for those fans desperate to see Sancho in royal blue.
It is not like Sancho is having a bad season for Dortmund. He has contributed five goals and nine assists for the Bundesliga side so far this season. They may sit five points off the top, but the young Englishman is hardly suffering a dip in form.
If he is continued to be made a scapegoat by manager Lucien Favre, Sancho is likely to be looking for a move soon. Chelsea will want to make contact soon if they are to bring him to the Bridge, a place where he would fit in well, with his close friends Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
