Report: Chelsea 'quietly confident' Christian Pulisic will be fit for next game

Chelsea have been given a reported boost over their attacker Christian Pulisic, who may be available to play in the club’s next match in the Premier League after the international break.

The 22-year-old has only played five games across all competitions so far this season and been sidelined with a hamstring problem recently.

But it’s believed he’s winning his battle with the injury and a return is just around the corner, something which is extremely positive news for supporters.

According to the Sun, the Blues are “quietly confident” that the left-winger is going to be in contention for the trip to Newcastle United on 21 November in the league.

Pulisic has joined up with the USA national team during the international break despite his recent injury absence at Stamford Bridge and American head coach Gregg Berhalter claimed that the player wanted to be a part of the group, as well as adding that he’s listed as day-to-day.

He’s clearly an integral part at international level for his country and it says a lot about his commitment to them by joining up for the two-week break, although it’s unclear on if he’s yet fit to play.

Chelsea fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that the speedster’s injury return remains on track, as he’s just as vital in Frank Lampard’s side.

It’s been a frustration individual season for him so far and he must be desperate to get going with some of the super attacking talents in the squad.
