Sandro Stalls
Any potential move for Alex Sandro from Chelsea has stalled, as the Blues are not willing to match the price tag set by Juventus. Chelsea have been long-term admirers of the Brazilian, and made efforts to bring him to Stamford Bridge in the summer, but a deal could not be completed. He reportedly wants to leave the Italian side, and Chelsea are amongst the front-runners to sign him, with the likes of PSG and Manchester United reportedly interested. If Antonio Conte’s side cannot complete a deal, it will leave the Italian manager frustrated that the club missed out on yet another target.
Another Hazard
Chelsea have reportedly set their sights on bringing yet another Hazard to the club. Eden’s brother Thorgan, who was at the club previously, is wanted by the Blues. Since departing the club in 2015, he has become a key part of the Borussia Monchengladbach side and has emerged as one of the brightest prospects in the Bundesliga. If he rejoins the club, Thorgan will become the third Hazard at Stamford Bridge. The other brother, Kylian, joined in the summer and is a part of the club’s development sides.
Simeone Eyed
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is being eyed as a replacement for Antonio Conte, should he leave the club in the summer. There has been much speculation over the Italian’s future at Chelsea, with some believing he will depart at the end of the season. Should he leave, the Blues’ number one target is Simeone. The Argentine was reportedly considered before Conte’s appointment in 2016. Simeone’s deal with Atletico ends in 2020, and he has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, one of his former sides. Should they fail to convince Simeone with a move to West London, they are also considering Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri, as well as Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri.
