Chelsea players Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount seemed very excited after the club announced Ben Chilwell’s transfer from Leicester City.

The 23-year-old signed a five-year contract which ties him to the Blues until 2025.

Chilwell has sent a message to the Chelsea fans on social media, saying: “Absolutely buzzing to sign for Chelsea.

“Really exciting time for the club, with such a good squad! Can’t wait to meet all of the lads and everyone around the building.

“Special thank you to the manager for the faith he has shown in me. A dream come true. Come on you, Blues.”

His England and new Chelsea teammate Abraham responded to the defender’s tweet on Twitter with excitement.

Abraham said: “Welcome my brother. When’s the house haunting [hunting]?”

However, Fikayo Tomori just would not let Abraham get away with the typo.

Mason Mount, who has also shared the dressing room with Chilwell for England, also responded to Chilwell’s message as he posted a picture of himself being tackled by Chilwell.

“No need to be fouling me now Benjamin… Welcome Bro!” the 21-year joked.

In his first interview with the club, Chilwell previously spoke about how he previously had chats with Chelsea players in England team about the situation at the club and how having familiar faces would help him adapt to a new club.

“I spoke to them about how it was like here [at Chelsea], how the manager was like and they all had good things to say about it,” he told Chelsea’s official website.

“They made it a lot easier as well coming into a new club having a lot of friendly faces I’ve known before and a lot of talented players as well.”
